Born in Nara prefecture in 1992. He was the recipient of Big Comic Superior Rookie Award in 2015, and graduated from Osaka University of Arts, Faculty of Arts, Department of Character Formation in 2016. He became popular by continuing to publish his own gag manga in magazines and on SNS while he was still in university. After that, he began creating artworks in seek of a free expression that was not bound by the small confines of manga or SNS, nor was he bound by his ever-increasing number of followers. The years 2023-2024 were a time when he was actively working on his own unique painting techniques while working intensively on his creative endeavors in preparation for participating in large-scale art fairs such as Art Fair Asia Fukuoka and Art Fair Tokyo. His powerful and impactful paintings contain on the canvas the complex feelings of his heart, including his passions and desires, as well as his anguish and conflict, in a multi-layered way. Also, if you watch his live painting at an art fair, you can feel the energy that overflows from his performance. Inside him, there is a desire to become something, but at the same time, he doesn't want to become anything. Ishizuka Daisuke is a man who keeps his eyes firmly fixed on reality while still trying and failing. He has new creative powers within him, and we can expect to see him do even more great things.
